Continuous 24/7 operation, customizable flow rates, and reliable performance backed by 16+ years of expertise.
PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) oxygen generators produce high-purity oxygen on-site using zeolite molecular sieve technology. Under pressure, nitrogen molecules are selectively adsorbed by the molecular sieve, allowing oxygen to pass through as the product gas. When the pressure is released, the adsorbed nitrogen is desorbed and vented, regenerating the sieve for the next cycle. Twin adsorption towers alternate between adsorption and regeneration, delivering a continuous, reliable oxygen supply.
Hongbo's PSA oxygen generators are engineered for industrial-grade performance with output ranging from 1 Nm3/h to 300 Nm3/h. The systems deliver oxygen purity of 93%±3% (meeting national standard oxygen content), with adjustable pressure from 0.01 to 0.6 MPa and dew point as low as -40°C to -70°C.

The PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) oxygen generator operates on the principle that zeolite molecular sieves selectively adsorb nitrogen molecules under pressure while allowing oxygen molecules to pass through.
Step 1 - Air Compression & Pretreatment: Compressed air is filtered, dried, and purified to remove oil, water, and particulate matter. Clean, dry feed air is essential for optimal molecular sieve performance and longevity.
Step 2 - Adsorption Phase: Purified compressed air enters the adsorption tower filled with zeolite molecular sieve. Under pressure, nitrogen (N2) molecules are adsorbed into the micropores of the sieve material, while oxygen (O2) and other inert gases pass through and exit as product gas at 90%–95% purity.
Step 3 - Regeneration Phase: When the sieve reaches its adsorption capacity, the tower is depressurized. The adsorbed nitrogen is released (desorbed) and vented to the atmosphere, regenerating the molecular sieve for the next cycle.
Step 4 - Continuous Operation: Two adsorption towers operate in alternating cycles — one tower adsorbs while the other regenerates. This synchronized switching ensures uninterrupted oxygen supply, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Industrial oxygen generators using PSA technology provide on-site, continuous oxygen supply across a wide range of industries:
Oxygen is essential for oxy-fuel cutting, welding, and brazing. The right purity level delivers better flame temperature, faster cutting speeds, and cleaner edges in steel fabrication shops and manufacturing plants.
Oxygen injection significantly enhances biological treatment efficiency, accelerates oxidative processes, and supports aerobic digestion in both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
Oxygen-enriched combustion in glass melting furnaces improves combustion efficiency, reduces NOx emissions, enhances melting quality, and can cut fuel consumption by 20%–40%.
Oxygen applied in delignification and bleaching stages reduces chemical usage, lowers pollution loads, and improves paper quality in pulp mills.
Oxygen is essential for oxidation reactions, catalyst regeneration, and combustion intensification in plants producing ethylene, methanol, and other chemicals.
Oxygen generators maintain optimal dissolved oxygen levels in fish tanks, hatcheries, and during fingerling transport, promoting healthier fish at higher stocking densities.
